How WallsPainter works
WallsPainter is designed to reduce paint-choice guesswork before you commit to tester pots or full tins.
1. Start with a sample room
The sample room gives you a consistent reference scene so you can compare starter colours and generated default-room previews before your own photo enters the equation.
That matters because a messy or dark room photo can hide whether you dislike the colour itself or just dislike the lighting in the photo.
2. Compare daylight and evening light
WallsPainter shows two lighting states because many neutrals move warmer, duller, or cooler after sunset.
Seeing both versions early helps you reject colours that only work in one condition.
3. Generate or reuse a preview pair
If a colour already has reusable daylight and evening default-room preview assets, WallsPainter can show them immediately.
If the assets are not ready, the generated-preview flow prepares the same kind of two-lighting wall preview pair for the canonical HEX.
4. Try the colour in your own room
After narrowing choices in the sample room, upload one clear room photo and generate a preview with the selected colour.
This is where room-specific surfaces, shadows, and furnishings become useful context, and the result can be compared against the Original or earlier generated versions.
5. Use advice and brand matching carefully
WallsPainter can provide extra advisory guidance and approximate brand-colour matching, but these are still planning tools rather than guarantees.
Always treat the result as a shortlisting step before ordering official paint samples.
